Hey man. Brisbane fan here. I'm relatively new to this game (been a fan since 2022), and personally not the greatest fan of Port, but I know about all the promise Port fans were given, only to just be let down like that so badly. I know how angry and upset you feel after this loss. I can't say I've been in your position, but I just want to let you know that you just gotta stick fat, and keep on marching on. These dark days make the brighter days so much better. I can guarantee you that you will be able to taste that holy grail. Look at Richmond 2016, Brisbane when they merged with Fitzroy, Melbourne 2011. I completely understand your pain and frustration. That was an awful performance by Port, but turning up is all you can do. So my heart goes out to you man, and while you may not say it today, Carn the Pear!

I agree with everything you've said. We've had the best of Ken, and we do have to thank him for dragging this club from the depths we were in back in '12. But in some ways, he's the same as Matty P. was.... he's too pally with those under him. I think Zac is a good example, why is Ken not telling him to curb his behaviour (these silly striking incidents) where's the leadership group telling him to pull his head in? Things need to change, because if these people are talking, he ain't listening. Just like the Board, not listening to the fans. We went through this same scenario back a couple of years ago, and I think it was Keith Thomas came out and said, the fans opinions should be heard.... well it's time to take notice.

Ty Ant. I feel ya. In my opinion, we need fresh blood from outside the team. Someone that is much more objective will be the best for our team I think. I’ve only been a dedicated fan a few years, but they’re definitely seems to be unbalanced. Focus on how great we were… Not how great, we are becoming. And that’s gonna take some hard choices and decisions.

“Never tear us apart” That is exactly what Hinkley is doing to our team he is tearing them apart one by one he has ruined this team . we have a “star studded midfield” but with Ken’s coaching we can’t do shit. All are players are being brainwashed by pure stupidity we need a new coach that isn’t just hugs and kisses but we need someone who’s actually tough, someone who actually has a brain to think for our team. We have the team but don’t have the right coaching it is so frustrating and painful watching us lose to basically any team weather it’s in top 8 or bottom 10 we weren’t contenders and we never will be, not as long as Hinkley’s still with us.

I was there everyone was on there way home b4 the end of the third Port are a trainwreck who was on lauchie? wheres the game plan i hear ppl slagging Marshall but most of the entries are kicks in hope bang it long stuff. Omg they looked very bad the fumbling the ball the instant handballs setting up teammates. Something has to happen the list isn't that bad but boy the coaching really isn't right.

There are certain position types you must draft otherwise you leave it in the hands of who may or may not be available when you look around the league. The longer port avoid doing a full rebuild, they will continue trading in reject players. Constant limbo, lack of continuity, rinse and repeat, same sad story. Poorly managed club.

In all the history of Port, this was the first time that I've ever cheered for them to lose. Ken Hinkley has ruined every player on this team. F* anyone who is mad that he was booed. Why shouldn't he be booed? He's destroyed this team. Also, how mad can you be - there were only 14 people left at the oval to boo him. The midfield is a weak joke. The defence doesn't exist. The forwards couldn't fight past a gentle breeze. If there's a system, it's not good enough to present a challenge to opposition. Marshall isn't even SANFL level at this point. Lord looked like a figure skater. Aliir is barely a shadow of what he used to be before Ken got into his head. Butters' constantly dirty play belittles the whole team. Bergman, Wines, are Drew are completely invisible. They cannot manage to do a single aspect of the game properly. Not a single player on this team is in sync with any other single player on this team, to the point that they can't even complete a 10-foot handball to one another. They are an embarrassment. The best player out there was Logan Evans, and that's only because Ken hasn't had time to make him stupid yet. By next week, he'll be done and finished also. The only thing this idiotic team will do is sign Hinkley on for another ten years. Losers breeding losers. The players are making it clear with their performance that they want Hinkley gone. Keep going boys, try for the first overall pick.

Yes Ken’s time is more than likely done but I don’t agree with the booing at all, shows lack of respect & intelligence. We need someone from outside with fresh ideas & not Carr. Tredrea is a knob.

It takes a very strong individual to listen to the supporter reaction, accept full responsibility and get on with the job. Yes, Ken has done that and so he deserves support for the remainder of the season. Port’s position has not been helped by injuries and loss of form to key players ( I know, all teams go through this) and the disappointing progression to recent additions to the squad and this can be addressed at the end of the season. I think some mistakes were made over the bye as the squad looked tired and this too can be addressed. If I can be so bold as to suggest that the entire club should sit down together and view “Onward to Victory” to remind everyone what Port’s philosophy is and what has to be done to get them back on track. When they all work together, there is no better side going around.

The whole coaching staff are bad, Chad Cornes as the forward coach. Our forward line is terrible. Also lobbe as ruck coach. HE WAS A TERRIBLE RUCKMAN we could of got 2 first round picks for 1 good year

What coach would want to take on a team where it's own fanbase blames him for everything. Ken doesn't tell his players to turn the ball over in the midfield 15 times. The players have to take ownership and the fans need to wake up and realise port adelaide is nor the powerhouse football club that they think they are. They are and always will be pretenders. Leaving at 3 qtr time is just pathetic and weak. There is no resilience in that fanbase at all.

My gut feeling after Port lost showdown was that Hinkley wouldn’t be there next year then after the Carlton performance I didn’t think he would see out the year, I get the feeling that the players were aware of this and are playing with no motivation hence their last could of poor games. Most of the players look like their gone, some are still trying their arsenal off but not many and Hinkley looks lost. I’m not expecting him to last much longer, the club needs to have a big discussion during the week and have an honest chat with the entire group but Hinkley can’t turn this around now so can Carr save the season? My belief is the club wants Buckley but chances of convincing him are small so roll the dice and try Carr now to see what he does differently and whether that’s the right direction for next year. What hurts is Boak deserves much more but he will be given his marching orders and Hinkley himself is too nice a guy to cop this, he needed better support from assistant coaches but either way the buck stops with him and I hope he has learnt things he will take to his next club which won’t be far away.

I'm not sure if Ken has had the players at all this year. He may have lost them after finals last year. Remind me people why did we sack Mark Williams? 2007 gf aside what was the other reasons? The Williams family lived and breathed Port Adelaide and we buggered them all off

We’ve been accepting mediocrity for too long now and it’s become more and more frustrating. Us as fans go into every week thinking it might change and they’ve been getting worse every week. Too many cuddles and kisses down at Port, no Mongrel

Season is over. Book your tickets for a holiday this September because our season is done. The coaches have lost the players and the message is not getting through to them anymore. No changes and in fact, we are worse than last season despite having these "holes" plugged. We cannot: - Kick goals accurately; ranked 18th despite having a "so-called program" and coached by a guy who played his footy down back and has kicked 179 goals and 165 behinds. - Win the ball at the contest. We keep getting smashed at the contested ball (-40) this week and has been happening for a while now. For all the talk about this "star-studded midfield", we keep getting belted there. - The defence is in shambles, the defenders have no clue what they are suppose to be doing and now are colliding with each other. Defensively, the whole team is not putting in the effort and workrate to win the ball back. No on-field leadership and the "connection" is just a bunch of BS nonsense. Never have seen such a disconnect and its high time the club gets utterly ruthless with its selection and list because we are miles off contending for a premiership and to add insult to injury, no high-end draft picks for the foreseeable future to add to the team.

Plenty of people still protect Hinkley but has anyone in the AFL ever coached for 12 years without a single GF appearance? I doubt it very much.Hinkley should have been gone 4 or 5 years ago.We have become a very mediocre football club.

How can you be cut throat and have balls when players run off and self report for a slip of the tongue? No man I know would ever do that. Our players are living in a kindergarten environment which breaks down men and produces weaklings. The club has immature leadership and has become a sick, low morale place lacking direction,purpose and self confidence. The club is being run by marketing people who just spin out “positive vibes” and “values”.
